Proper exercise is a stimulus that acts on your body to demand an adaptive change.
There are four fundamental variables that are fully backed by research and experience that are involved in this relationship, which we use at Functionised to produce the best results for our clients. High Intensity – To stimulate your body to make an adaptive change, your exercise intensity must cross a certain threshold before your body will respond. By training to muscular failure, we send an alarm to your body that more muscle and increased metabolism are needed. We utilize the ARX Fit, which involves moving the maximum weight at a consistent force until absolute muscle failure occurs. At no time will you reduce force applied as occurs with free weights, cables or bands. This keeps the muscle under continuous load and more effectively fatigues the muscle. Brief Workouts – All of our workouts last 20 minutes or less. As seen on our videos and social media, often workouts are completed in less than 8 to 10 minutes. Your program requires the minimum amount of exercise that will produce the stimulus for adaptation where you will achieve the maximum results. Anything beyond this amount of exercise only acts to consume precious recovery resources and slows down your progress. The reality is multiple hours in the gym are not only time consuming but detrimental as opposed to our workouts. Infrequent Workouts – Reaching the required stimulus intensity threshold consumes a large amount of your body’s resources and the subsequent adaptive changes are metabolically expensive. Replenishing resources and making metabolic investments takes time. Reintroducing the stimulus (a workout) too soon will interrupt these processes. Precise Record-Keeping – Keeping precise records of your workout performance allows us to know if we are achieving the desired results in order to show progress on every exercise of every workout. |

You will not find any aerobics equipment or ineffective equipment in our facility. It would be easiest if we simply gave clients what they wanted but our team members understand our methods because they get results. Aerobics is not done at Functionised because it is a recreational activity that does not require professional instruction.
We train our clients very infrequently. At Functionised we want our team members to be paying for results, not time spent in the gym.

Service Policies
- Services are by appointment only.
- To assure adequate scheduling times a 24-hour cancellation policy is necessary. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged for that visit.
- Please arrive on time and ready to train.
- Busy parents are welcome to bring their children. Younger children can be placed in a Pac-n-Play in the training room. Older kids are welcome and individuals of any age are permitted to participate in our training programs.
